Since 1992, BigTime has entertained hundreds of thousands of people all over the world with
a variety of Murder Mystery productions and other theatrical events. BigTime's head office is in Ottawa, Canada, also home to our
international touring cast; additionally, we have a Toronto office which serves the Golden Horseshoe.
Employing over fifty actors, writers and technicians, BigTime produces over 300 shows each year.
Although BigTime's main focus has been on Murder Mystery dinner theatre, the company has grown into so
much more than that. Thanks to contracts from the
National Hockey League,
Brother International,
McDonald's and
Bell Canada,
among many others, BigTime has created, scripted and performed new theatrical concepts to meet our
clients' needs.
Charity fundraising has also given BigTime a chance to get creative. Working with television station CJOH at the
Central Canada Exhibition, BigTime created the "Catch-The-Culprit" contest as an on-site fundraiser to benefit
the Children's Aid Foundation. "Catch-The-Culprit" used word puzzles brought to life by actors to present
Exhibition visitors with a mystery to solve in order to win prizes. BigTime handled all aspects of this
initiative, including writing the concept, building the set, gathering sponsors and writing the contest rules.
The end result was a $5500 donation to the Children's Aid Foundation.
BigTime's exceptional reputation for creativity, problem solving, professional performance and production has
led to many high profile engagements, including a cross-country tour for Brother International, and a trip to the
Maho Beach Resort in St. Maarten in June 2002.
In 2004 and 2005 BigTime was awarded a major Parks Canada contract. The
"Theatre on the Veranda" project involved designing, writing and producing a three-month run of historically accurate,
professional theatre presentations to compliment Laurier House National Historic site
in Ottawa.
Repeat business is BigTime's stock and trade - last year we provided the entertainment at thirteen
ING Canada
training conferences in Toronto. BigTime has also performed all over the United States - from producing six shows
a year since 1992 at the
Riveredge Resort in Alexandria Bay, New York, to entertaining large
groups like Helzberg Diamonds in Kansas City, the Pennsylvania Association of Financial Aid Administrators in
Champion, Pennsylvania, to being flown in a private plane down to Akron, Ohio, to perform for Edgetech at
the Firestone Golf and Country Club. However, the biggest highlight of all has to be performing in the Persian
Gulf in February 2003 for the men and women of the
Canadian Forces taking part in Operation Apollo.
In April 2005, BigTime's President-At-Large, Pete Dillon, was named one of Ottawa's Top 50 People
by Ottawa Life Magazine, and in May 2005 Pete was chosen as one of the Top Forty Under 40 business
executives by the Ottawa Business Journal.
