What else sets up apart? Our Murder Mystery actors stay in the room throughout show, mingling and eat right with your guests. Our performers use wireless microphones for better audience involvement. And you don't have to worry about bad language or being splashed with blood at a BigTime Murder Mystery - it is DINNER THEATRE after all.
Yes. We can travel to any location in the world to produce our unique brand of dinner theatre for private groups of 10-2000+. You pick a venue that best suits your needs and we'll entertain you there.
Our quote may include a travel fee for productions where a cast must travel more than 30 minutes. In instances where more than two hours of travel is required, overnight accommodations may be requested. If more than five hours of travel is required, air transportation may be requested. Our casts are located in Ottawa and Toronto, Canada, but our touring cast services the world.
Yes. Our BigTime IDOL Variety Show can take place with or without a meal, with a 45, 60 or 75-minutes running time. A POPCORN version (after-meal or no-meal version) of our Murder Mystery “The CodFather” is also available upon request.
We can suggest locations in many cities. In Toronto we work out of FORGET ABOUT IT! Supper Club in the heart of the Entertainment District, but we are not limited to just that space - we can perform anywhere a group is gathering for a great time.
Choose a venue with a private room large enough to comfortably seat all of your guests and a few of our players. Although we've performed everywhere from Parliament Hill in Ottawa to arenas, trains, riverboats and open-air stages in the Persian Gulf, we recommend hotel banquet rooms and private banquet facilities for their versatility and their typically unobstructed sight lines.
We handle the entertainment but not the catering, unless you book us for a dinner+show package at FORGET ABOUT IT! Supper Club. Off site, we'll work closely with your caterer to develop a timeline to ensure that your guests are being fed or entertained at all times.
Our staging space is determined by the show and size of the audience. Our typical requirements are as follows:

  • BigTime Idol VARIETY SHOW: 8' X 16'(w) minimum
  • SMALL DINNER PARTY MYSTERIES: 5' X 5'
Actual stage or risers are NOT usually necessary for groups of 80 or less.

The short answer is: as much as possible. Some dates are booked a few days prior to the event, while others are fully booked as much as a year or two in advance. For best date selection, book early.

Our shows are rated AA (Adult accompaniment). Children are welcome, but keep in mind that with our Murder Mysteries there will be a murder, lots of innuendos, and usually gun shots. None of our shows contain “blue” humour or bad language.
No we don't. All of our shows are produced with an adult audience in mind, and although minors are welcome to attend our shows, the production itself is not geared toward kids parties.
Since 1992, we have performed for the Who's Who of the business world, entertaining over 100,000 guests, primarily at private parties and corporate functions. Aside from being innovative in designing brand new formats (such as our BigTime IDOL VARIETY SHOW and our SMALL DINNER PARTY MYSTERIES ), we were also honoured to be chosen to entertain 5000 guests at the NHL's 50th Anniversary All-Star Reception in Toronto, February 2000. We performed a cross-country tour for Brother International in the fall of 1997 and have built up a regular following at the Riveredge Resort in Alexandria Bay, NY since 1992. In 2002, we were hand-picked to entertain both locals and tourists at the Maho Beach Resort in St. Maarten, and in 2003, we performed our first trans-continental shows for the Canadian Forces stationed in the Persian Gulf. And that's only the beginning.

Although all of our shows can be adjusted to fit into most agendas, our Full Corporate Murder Mystery usually runs approximately 2 - 2.5 hours, starting during your reception, running throughout your meal, and ending shortly after dessert is served.
We encourage our guests to get involved, but we also realize that there are people who prefer to sit back and watch, and that's fine too. Either way, you'll have a great time.
Absolutely! In fact we'll ask you for background on some of your better-known guests in attendance who we can work into the show and gently roast... Handled in true BigTime fashion, this will add great comedic value to the show.
